Early Years Practitioner

Essential Requirements

A relevant childcare qualification for the role (NNEB, NVQ2 or NVQ3 / Diploma)

Knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding children obligations
Approachable and caring with a passion for working with children

Desirable Requirements

Experience within a childcare setting with children aged 0-5

Registered with the DBS Update Service
Knowledge and experience of working within and implementing the EYFS statutory framework
A valid food hygiene certificate

Experience of working with children with additional needs

Experience with recent OFSTED inspections and requirement

Hours: Full time and Partime hours

Lunch Cover Assistant

Essential Requirements

Early Years Educator (NVQ Level 3) – Full-Time

Starting Salary: From £27,500
Location: Roslin Nursery

Roslin Nursery is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our dedicated team, committed to delivering the highest standard of quality childcare and early education. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Practitioner (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) who is friendly, hardworking with a positive, flexible approach.

About the Role:

  • Hours of work: 40 hours a week
  • You will work between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday,
  • The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development, along with a nurturing and compassionate nature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and education
  • Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress (experience preferred)
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and carers
  • Contribute to creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 / Diploma in Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for early years education and helping children reach their full potential
  • Physically fit, energetic, and motivated
  • A caring, patient, and supportive approach
