Our Nursery

Roslin Nursery Rooms are divided into three  age groups. Our Buttercups is for children aged 3 months to 24 months approximately. Our Daisies are aged  2 years to approximately 3 years . The children then progress to our Bluebells Room until they leave for school.

At Roslin Nursery we make every day stimulating and fun for all the children in our care. We always value children as unique and curious individuals and we respect childhood as a very special and important time in their lives.

We will always do our best to nurture and support the children during their learning journey. We will endeavour to provide a safe and secure environment where children become independent confident learners and are given support and encouragement to enable them to reach their full potential.

We always consider each child's individual needs and ensure that they have several visits into the next group to assess their readiness.

“My daughter went to Roslin Day Nursery for approximately 3 years, for 3 full days a week.  During her time there I found each member of staff to be very helpful, approachable and friendly.  Roslin’s environment is like a home-from-home, the staff in Daises and Bluebells are lovely and have made my daughters time there thoroughly enjoyable.  I have no hesitations in recommending the nursery to anyone, and although she will be leaving for big school, I will be sorry to see her go.  She has not only excelled in confidence at the nursery, but has also come on leaps and bounds with her appropriate level of drawing, writing and social play.  I can’t thank the nursery staff enough, especially Gina, Karen, Shannon, Dilak, Deborah and Fatima for their help and friendship during my daughters 3 years.  We will be back to say hi!.”

“My son has attended since 10 months and is now 3, and has loved it here. The staff genuinely care for the children, and my son has always given the staff big cuddles in the morning, so loves them too. Great facilities including 'extra' pay for options, and for me, it's the right size and the opposite of a chain-style nursery, feeling very welcoming and homely.”

“A really caring and personal nursery. Staff are great, dedicated and caring. Any concerns or problems are listened too and dealt with quite collaboratively with parents. So pleased we found this nursery when we did.”
Parents of AS and TS – July 2016

“Thank you for all the support and guidance you have given her during her time with you, it will be a sad day for her ( and us.) leaving but happy for her that she's moving onto the next stage of her life.”
Parents of FD – June 2016

“Our daughter has been at Roslin for a year, since she was 11 months old. She absolutely loves it and it's a fantastic nursery, with genuinely caring staff, who really tailor things to their individual characters and needs. I feel like my daughter is not just looked after, but loved.”
